Car and Trailer Driving Test - Automatic Vehicle Towing Lessons

IMPORTANT: Please note if you take your test in an automatic vehicle you are not licenced to tow with a manual vehicle. But, if you take your test in a manual you are licenced to tow with either a manual or an automatic. Phew, that was a mouthful!

DSA Trailer Towing - Driving license B+E category's
All people who have passed their standard car B driving test after 1st January 1997 and are required by law to take a further test to tow trailers or caravans.

Designed for:
All people who want to tow trailers or caravans above the B licence limit. i.e. Council and utilities personnel, caravan owners, horse-box owners, boat owners.

Summary:
The object of this practical driving course is to train the delegate to attain the standard and pass the additional trailer category B+E car & trailer DSA driving test. All delegates will receive individual tuition in all the exercises and disciplines required to complete the test successfully.

Half day:
The half day session can be one of a series which allows a delegate to learn the individual test exercises in depth over a number of sessions. This is ideal for the complete novice with no towing experience.
Alternatively if the driver has previous experience towing trailers then this half day session can be used as a refresher to show you what is needed for your test.

Single day:
The single day allows the delegate to demonstrate all the exercises and roadwork skills required to pass the B+E car and trailer test. The delegate(s) can then practice the manoeuvres and roadwork at home or work and using their own vehicle and trailer to gain confidence for the test. This is ideal for the delegate who has limited towing experience.

Intensive three day:
Our special intensive three day course is carefully structured for all skill levels to bring you up the the E test standard so you give your best driving performance on the test.
You will cover all the exercises and roadwork skills required to pass the B+E car and trailer test without rushing but in depth. The two full training days allow you to practice and become competant during the training sessions. The third day is dedicated to the *test at the local DSA test centre.
