Towing
Industry Careers:
Your
New Career as a Towbar Fitter Starts Here
Towbar Fitting

The UK motor industry installs about 300,000 towbars every year.
This number changes the depending on how many vehicles are sold.
Towbars are mostly fitted by independent garages, vehicle main dealers
and specialist towbar fitting centres who can be mobile or workshop
based.
Because of the specialist knowledge required to install towbars
on the newer vehicles even main dealers regularly subcontract their
towbar installation work onto the specialist towbar fitters.
The Towbar Technician training courses we provide will teach you
the main skills required so you can make your living as a towbar
fitter.

Earn a Good Living Working
with Trailers
Trailer Servicing & Maintenance
Light trailers can be separated into 2 main catagories
01 un-braked up to MAM or Gross Weight of 750Kg and 02 with brakes
up to a MAM of 3500Kg
In the UK there is a 'car park' of about 5 million
trailers being regularly used. The vast majority of these trailers
are not serviced or maintained to keep them operating safely on
the road.
In recent times there has been an increase in the
public awareness that their trailers, horsebox's, catering trailers,
or mobile plant equipment requires regular servicing and maintenance
before needing expensive repairs. Also, the Health & Safety
laws together with insurance policies force companies and business's
to treat the correct operation of their equipment seriously.
This means that you have a great opportunity to earn
a good living by helping anyone or any organisation who needs to
keep their mobile equipment in service.
